Bengaluru: In view of the increase in drug sales across the state, Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara had recently warned the police to take strict action against it. The police are chasing down and are ready to put a brake on the illegality. Accordingly, the police of Bangalore South Division, who went in search of drugs were shocked. It has come to light that drug peddling is going on inside prestigious colleges and a private college student has been arrested.
The police raided some colleges on Mysore Road after receiving information about drug sales. In this case, it is known that the drug is being sold by the college students to other students. Accordingly, Bishtin Roy, a student of a private college who is a peddler from Kerala, was caught by the Basavanagudi police. Drugs worth Rs. 20 Lakh were found during the arrest of the accused.
A group of arrested accused who had their own team. They all were studying in Bangalore’s reputed colleges. They used to bring drugs from outside and sell them to the students of their college. Basavanagudi police have arrested one person. After his arrest, the remaining seven people went missing and now the police are searching for them.
