Bengaluru: A huge amount of explosive materials were found in the City. Soladevanahalli Police of the city conducted a quick operation and recovered the explosives.
The Police conducted a search operation in two houses near Kalluguddadahalli and Dasenahalli in Hessaraghatta. A large quantity of explosives, which were stored in the house without permission, was seized. Kilograms of explosives were found in both the houses. Two and a half kg of sulphur powder, 250 grams of explosive gel, 45 kg of potassium nitrate white powder and explosive powder have been seized by the Police.
Soladevanahalli Police have arrested Shankar and Kumar who were illegally storing explosives. Similarly, the Police raided the house at Raghavendra Layout in Dasenahalli. Kilos of explosives were also found during the raid on the rented house of Srinivas.
Explosive gel weighing 1.860 kg, coal powder weighing 1.950 g, sulphur powder 7.850 g, and potassium nitrate 13 kg were recovered. During the interrogation of the Police, the accused said that they had collected it for the stone quarry. The police have registered a case on the charge of illegal stocking of explosives and are investigating
