I am a ‘tea’ lover. Any day, anytime of the day, I am ‘in’ for a cup of tea. The brewing itself gives me immense happiness, and I have no idea, why?
Have a headache? Drink tea.
Moody? Drink tea.
Angry? Drink tea.
Sad? Drink tea.
Happy? Drink tea.
So, basically, tea is like my go to person for everything. A day without a cup of ‘chai’ seems incomplete to me. Every time I travel, and see packets of tea in the shop, I end up buying one. I don’t mind the different flavours of tea, but adding ginger to the tea is my favourite. I wanted to know about the different kinds of tea available around the globe, and here’s what I found.
Black Tea: The brew is amber coloured.
Green Tea: Green or golden colour brew. It is said to help in weight loss, but I didnt lose any weight. So, I guess, its just a sale tactic.
Oolong Tea: It is mainly produced in China and Taiwan. I have never tasted this tea.
White Tea: Tastes like green tea but is creamier and sweet. Again, I did not get a chance to try this tea yet.
Herbal Tea: Brew of different herbs in water.
Oh! I forget. Have you tried iced tea? If you don’t love it, we can’t be friends. One of the best drinks for summer. Then we Indians have;
Masala chai, a mix of spices in tea.
Lemon tea
Kashmiri kahwa
Jaggery tea
Cardamom tea
One simple tea and so many varieties and flavour.
No wonder, Arthur Wing Pinero’s saying goes, Where there is TEA, there is HOPE.
