Bengaluru: A shocking incident took place on April 21 in the Magistrate Court premises of Bengaluru where a young woman who appeared in the court in a cheque bounce case, attacked a lawyer with a knife inside the court premises.
At the Magistrate’s Court near Corporation Circle, Bengalur, the cheque bounce case was being heard in which Kanchana had taken a loan of Rs. 3 Lakh from Harish. During the first stage of hearing, Harish’s lawyer Krishnareddy had convinced the court that he would continue the case in favour of the cheque bounce case. After this, the court granted adjournment.
At the time, Kanchana, the accused in the case, had a fight with the lawyer Krishnareddy who had come out to the court premises. She also attacked lawyer Krishnareddy with a knife that she had brought apart from verbal altercation. After this, it is known that she escaped from there.
Lawyer Krishnareddy, who was injured in knife attack, went to the Halasuru Gate Police Station and filed a complaint.
Kanchana had taken a loan of Rs. 3 Lakh from Harish. For the last three years, she has said that she would return the money, but did not return it. Moreover cheque too bounced. Harish had gone to court in this regard.
