Bengaluru: Karnataka Lokayukta’s crackdown on corruption continues. The second day of raids began August 17 in the early hours of the morning.
In many parts of the state, the Lokayukta officials conducted raids in the wee hours and gave a shock to the Government officials. Lokayukta officials have raided many districts including Bengaluru, Kodagu, Chitradurga, and Bidar with regard to disproportionate asset cases.
The raid was conducted on the house of BBMP RI Nataraj in Mahadevpur zone. Karnataka lokayukta raided the house of Nataraj BBMP officer in Shivanahalli village of Kanakapura taluk of Ramanagara district. Lokayukta officers went to Ramanagara from Bangalore to raid, after the allegation of disproportionate asset cases. Nataraj was trapped while receiving money earlier. Lokayukta officials have raided more than ten times in Bangalore alone.
Lokayukta officers raided Kodagu ADC Nanjundegowda’s house in the morning on the background of the disproportionate asset cases. ADC Nanjundegowda’s Quaters which is next to Madikeri District Collector’s house. The raid was conducted by more than 10 police personnel including three inspectors under DySP Pawan Kumar, a joint operation of the Lokayukta police of Kodagu and Mysuru districts. During the raid, the officers brought the machine to count the money. There is a possibility of getting huge cash in the house. So the officials brought the money counting machine.
Lokayukta officials have raided the office manager of Koppala Nirmithi Kendra, Manjunath Bunnikoppa’s Nirmithi Kendra, home, lodge at Hulagi, in the wake of allegations of huge disproportionate asset cases. A house behind Mangala Hospital in the city was also raided. Raichur Lokayukta SP RL Arasiddi led the officials who conducted simultaneous raids by five teams at three places.
Lokayukta officials raided the house of Forest Department Officer RFO Satish of Channagiri Taluk of Davangere district. Satish’s residence in Shimoga was also raided. Inspector Rashtrapati and Madhusudhan team under the leadership of Lokayukta SP Kaulapure continued the document verification investigation.
Lokayukta officials raided the house of Constable Vijayakumar, who is known as the corrupt policeman of Bidar district. Vijayakumar, who is on duty at Chitguppa Police Station, has been accused of disproportionate asset case. Lokayukta raided the house at Teacher Colony, Huchakanalli village in Humnabad town. Many important documents have been seized and analyzed. Lokayukta officers led by DySP Olekara conducted a raid.
The officials who raided the house of Tumkur Urban Development Authority Joint Director Nagaraj early in the morning seized important documents and checked at the residence in Saptagiri layout of Tumakuru.
