Bengaluru: Due to lack of timely rainfall in Karnataka, drinking water problem has already arisen in some places. In the meantime, neighbouring Tamil Nadu has reached the issue of Kaveri River water sharing in the Supreme Court.
Due to this reason, the Aam Aadmi Party has written a letter to CM Siddaramaiah demanding that the Chief Minister of the state hold an all-party meeting and send an all-party delegation to meet the Prime Minister.
In a letter written by Party President Dr. Mukhyamantri Chandru has demanded that CM Siddaramaiah should call an all-party meeting under his chairmanship in order to understand the state’s water resource situation and implement a plan to alleviate water scarcity.
The AAP party has a senior lawyer who represented Karnataka in the Cauvery water issue before the Supreme Court. M. Chandru mentioned in the letter that he is willing to participate in all-party meetings and delegations and give suggestions.
