Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar visited ISRO on August 23 evening and congratulated ISRO Chief S Somnath and his team of scientists on the success of the Chandrayaan 3 project.
ISRO President Somnath, UR Rao Space Centre Director Sankaran, Project Director Veeramuthu, Assistant Project Director Kalpana, Machine Maintenance Director Srikanth and other scientists were warmly congratulated by DKS by garlanding them.
Your achievement of successfully landing the Vikram Lander on the moon is commendable. Shivakumar praised that you are the pride of India.
Shivakumar was briefed about Chandrayaan Yojana and witnessed moments of meaningful happiness among scientists. He said that the efforts of all the ISRO scientists and staff who worked hard for the project are unforgettable at this moment when Chandrayaan 3 project, which was expected by the whole country, has been successful.
He said, Vikram lander has set foot on the moon. It has made India’s landmark on the moon. Congratulations to ISRO for its tireless efforts. It is a great achievement that ISRO has successfully completed three lunar missions so far. The success of ISRO’s ambitious project Chandrayaan 3 is a matter of pride for the entire country.
Shivakumar praised that India has achieved another milestone in the field of space through the success of this project.
In the 1960s, the country’s rocket man Vikram Sarabhai, Former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s vision laid the foundation for ISRO. The seed he sowed on that day has grown into a great pride in the field of space in the world, said Shivakumar.
