In a internet storm, a girl has passed on a best response to the people, who suggested her on ‘washing utensils’, as she is abided by to do so. A social media influencer in ‘Ask me anything session’ was told ‘barthan dho jaa kar’! For which the girl has given a sassy reply.
The girl made a video of her washing utensils and have responded on, how she would never turn out to be a least valued or underrated person for doing so. She also made a point to the viewers by saying, “Indeed no one can buy utensils on daily basis. It has to be washed for the next use. And so do not utilise the statement as a derogatory term to defame someone”.
Most parents of the young girls today complain about their child not being a helping hand in doing household chores. This has become a common post a female began receiving education, is also one of the notions. Indeed, the matter of fact cannot be completely denied. But there are also certain aspects which has to be blamed for this development.
Firstly, it is considering, doing a household chore a least dignified one, in spite of it being one’s own housework. Secondly, segregation of the chores, as the responsibility of women alone. Psychologically it is making a man think, looking after my house is the responsibility of woman and an educated girl feels, If I do this work now, for the rest of my life it is the only work which I will be forced to do, thus making the basic personal work, which is the responsibility of every living human a meagre and least respected one.
A generation has to change, our values should evolve, and the society should make improvisation of thoughts in a world where scientific temperaments are highly expected, appreciated and applauded for, instead of continuing to belittle a section of society for doing chores, which has been done in order to make the lives of another counterpart easier.
