Bengaluru: In order to facilitate the traffic of trucks and lorries in Raichur city, a truck terminal is required and N. S. Boseraju, Minister of Minor Irrigation, Science and Technology instructed the officials to quickly identify the necessary space for the construction of the truck terminal.
On September 6, Minister Boseraju held a meeting with the officials of Late Devaraj Arasu Truck Terminal Limited at Vikas Soudha and instructed them to take necessary steps for the speedy implementation of the proposed project.
It is suitable If the truck terminal is constructed on the outskirts of the city, for the construction of this terminal around 10 acres of land is required. Officials informed the Minister that necessary facilities for drivers’ rest will be provided in this truck terminal which will be built on 10 acres of land.
The Minister instructed the Raichur District Collector to quickly identify the necessary land outside the Raichur city and provide necessary cooperation for the construction of the truck terminal.
