New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier BD Mishra (Retired), refuted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s assertion that China has taken control of significant portions of land in the cold desert region. He emphatically stated that there has been no encroachment by China on Ladakh’s territory.
Rather than engaging in a direct rebuttal of Rahul’s statement, Brigadier BD Mishra emphasized his commitment to presenting the factual reality. He attested, based on his personal observations, that not even a single square inch of Ladakh’s land has fallen under Chinese occupation.
Regarding the ongoing India-China border dispute, Ladakh Governor Brigadier BD Mishra conveyed that the Indian armed forces are well-prepared for any potential scenario. He also cautioned that should tensions escalate, those attempting hostile actions would face significant resistance.
In reference to the India-China border issue, Rahul Gandhi, on September 25, maintained that a substantial part of Ladakh had been seized by China, contradicting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assertion that no Indian territory had been occupied by China, which he deemed as “completely untrue.”
It could be recalled here that the Congress Scion Rahul Gandhi had made a statement saying that the Chinese had occupied 1000s of kilometers of Indian territory, he had said that during this bike ride to Ladakh in the last week of August
