The MotoGP Bharat is gearing up to light up the Buddh International Circuit from September 22nd to the 24th, and the excitement is palpable!
India, that is Bharat is conducting the MotoGP for the first time, making it a spectacle that MotoGP fans wouldn’t want to miss.
It’s not just a race; it’s a symphony of speed, talent, and pure passion.
The Awesome Arrival
The Buddh International Circuit will soon feel the rumble of powerful engines as the first shipment of MotoGP bikes along with equipment touched down for the Bharat GP.
These incredible machines, together with their engines, tires, and safety barriers, made an exhilarating entry into New Delhi by air, under the watchful gaze of heavy police protection. It’s not every day you witness such a breath-taking sight, because inside those containers are the most powerful motorcycles ever made.
But that’s not it, because there’s more to come. The next batch is en route, ready to unleash even more awe.
A Star-Studded Affair
With nearly 40 teams and 80 riders set to dazzle the tracks, the Bharat Grand Prix promises an electrifying line-up of talent.
Names like Marc Marquez, Francesco Bagnaia, Marco Bezzecchi, Fabio Quartararo, Brad Binder, Jack Miller, and Jorge Martin will be among the speed demons gracing us with their presence.
Evolution of BIC
The Buddh International Circuit, originally designed for Formula 1 racing, has been eagerly awaiting the FIM homologation, and it’s got some tweaks for the big event. While the core layout remains largely unchanged, some modest track resurfacing and safety enhancements have been introduced.
In the world of two-wheeled racing, safety is paramount, and organisers have taken significant steps to make the track even more secure. Additional run-off spaces and gravel sections, along with carefully installed fence sections, will ensure riders can push their limits while staying safe.
Moreover, we’ve also just received word that MotoGP Bharat gets FIM’s final approval!
Unleashing the Speed Demons
Another reason for MotoGP fans to rejoice is the fact that new records could be created by riders. The Buddh circuit has this one long back straight that measures 1,006 meters allowing riders to reach speeds of up to a mind-boggling 370 Kilometers Per Hour (KMPH).
Mind you, the current speed record is 366.1 KMPH held by South African Red Bull KTM rider, Brad Binder.
What’s even more thrilling is the track’s topography – the first half of the straight is a downhill sprint, allowing riders to hit top speed in a flash, while the second half gets steep, enabling them to brake later and maintain their blistering pace.
Get Ready for the Show!
As the first batch of race bikes and equipment graces the Buddh International Circuit for the upcoming Bharat GP, the anticipation reaches a fever pitch.
Don’t miss a second of the action! Mark your calendars for September 22-24, 2023, and get ready to witness history in the making.
