Bengaluru: The court has rescheduled the anticipatory bail hearing for Halashree Swamiji, who is evading authorities in a fraud case involving businessman Govinda Babu Pujari. The new hearing date is now slated for September 19.
Abhinav Halasree Swamiji from Halaswami Mutt, known as A3 in the case, had sought anticipatory bail in Bangalore’s City Civil Court. The court reviewed the application and extended the deadline for government advocates to file objections until September 19.
On September 14, Abhinav Halashree filed for anticipatory bail in CC-57 court. The court deferred the hearing, instructing the police to present their objections to the bail request. Notably, businessman Govindababu Pujari has also approached the court to oppose Halashree’s anticipatory bail.
Halashree, the third accused in this case, has been missing for a week, and efforts to locate Swamiji are underway. CCB police conducted searches at Swamiji’s residence and Math in Hirehadagali. They seized CCTV footage from Halashree’s property and conducted searches at the homes of the accused’s relatives. Additionally, a team of officials visited Harpanahalli and Davangere for inspections. The CCB police have also taken the driver of Abhinava Halashree into custody for intensive questioning.
In an unexpected development, it was disclosed that Abhinava Halashree filed a complaint against businessman Govindababu Pujari on August 11 in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore.
Adding intrigue to the case, A1 Chaitra, previously arrested in connection with Swamiji, made a statement at the CCB office. She asserted that Swamiji’s arrest would expose the involvement of a prominent figure, generating heightened interest in state politics. (
