Udupi: District In charge minister Laxmi Hebbalkar outlined a methodical approach to address the multitude of issues plaguing the region’s residents through the ‘Janatha Darshana’ program. This initiative, she emphasized, serves as a platform for addressing the public’s pressing concerns.
She was speaking at ‘Janata Darshan’ the state government’s flagship programme on meeting the people and hear their grievances, on September 25 at Udupi.
During the commencement of the Janatha Darshana program in Udupi district, Minister Hebbalkar acknowledged the manifold challenges faced by citizens in various projects carried out by the health, revenue, and forest departments. She urged the concerned officials to promptly attend to these issues and called upon bureaucrats to align their efforts with the aspirations of the common populace.
Minister Hebbalkar underscored the fact that the public had entrusted the government with the responsibility of efficient governance, and the administration is committed to fulfilling its pre-election promises within the initial 100 days. The Janatha Darshana program has been orchestrated with a similar intent: to address the public’s concerns comprehensively. She reiterated that both the government and its officials are steadfastly dedicated to resolving the problems faced by the citizens and urged for a united, earnest approach.
Moreover, Minister Hebbalkar emphasized that the Janatha Darshana program is tailored to address local issues, urging officials to swiftly grasp and comprehend these concerns. She stressed the importance of officials setting aside personal ego and dedicating themselves wholeheartedly to serving the people.
During the Janatha Darshana event in Udupi, a total of 143 applications pertaining to various government departments were received. All of these grievances will be addressed within the purview of the law. For those issues that cannot be resolved immediately, specific timeframes will be established for their resolution. In forthcoming Janatha Darshana sessions, the first hour will be dedicated to reviewing the resolution status of grievances raised in previous sessions, with applicants providing updates on the status of their concerns.
