Mangaluru: A sense of unease descended upon the serene town of Kadaba in Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka, following an incident that unfolded late on Sunday night. Two individuals have been apprehended for trespassing onto the premises of the Mardala mosque and raising the slogan ‘Jai Shri Ram.’
The accused, identified as Keerthan (25) hailing from Soodlu in Bilinele village and Sachin from Kaikamba Nadthota, are presently under police custody as authorities conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
According to reports, the two individuals arrived on a motorcycle and gained unauthorized access to the mosque’s veranda. They proceeded to raise slogans, causing alarm among those present. However, their departure from the scene was expedited by the arrival of the mosque’s priest, who responded promptly to the commotion.
The entire episode was recorded by the mosque’s closed-circuit television (CCTV) system, providing crucial evidence for the ongoing police inquiry.
The incident has sparked concerns and unease within the local community. Authorities are diligently pursuing the matter to ensure a fair and equitable resolution.
