Bengaluru: Housing, Minorities Welfare, and Wakf Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan gave his consent for the transfer of those who have been working in the same place in the Wakf Board for many years.
Speaking at the meeting regarding the conservation and maintenance of the Wakf properties in Bengaluru City limits here on September 30, he categorically said that he would not tolerate those who were showing negligence in the conservation of the Wakf properties.
Taking officials to task for not providing him with the correct information about the total number of Wakf properties, court cases, and properties on lease, the minister questioned, what are they doing? Don’t you have information despite working on the Board for the last so many years? All information sought from him must be prepared and provided to him within two weeks or else action would be taken against those who failed to provide information, he warned.
He said as many as 1,500 cases were pending in various courts, and 675 cases were in AC and DC courts under Sections 52 and 54. The officials must provide information regarding the action taken regarding the court cases.
On this occasion, he released volumes containing the names of those who have donated their properties to the Wakf Board, their purposes, and their current status. Karnataka Wakf Board Chairman Anwar Basha and Chief Executive Officer Khan Parvez were present.
