Bengaluru: In a dazzling display of martial arts prowess, Mohammed Hasnain, a student from Baldwin Boys’ High School, has secured the gold medal in the Karate kata category, marking his sixth consecutive triumph. This outstanding feat has not only etched his name in the annals of Karate excellence but has also earned him the prestigious opportunity to represent Karnataka at the national level. The national championship is scheduled to take place in Delhi, where Hasnain will compete against the country’s best.
Hasnain’s remarkable journey is closely tied to the Sudokann Martial Arts Academy, a renowned institution led by Renshi Zain. Renshi Zain, the Founder and Technical Director of the academy, holds distinguished positions as a National Referee and Judge, Vice-President of Bengaluru North Karate Association, and Joint Secretary of Sports Commission Karnataka (AKSA). Under his guidance, Hasnain has honed his skills and emerged as a formidable force in the world of Karate.
The state-level championship, held at Hubballi on September 30 and October 1, served as the platform for Hasnain’s triumph. Not only did he clinch the gold in the Karate kata category, but his stellar performance also earned him the honor of representing Karnataka at the national level. This championship, which doubled as the national selections event, witnessed intense competition, further amplifying the significance of Hasnain’s victory.
Adding to the glory, two more students from Sudokann Martial Arts Academy made their mark in the championship. Ishaan Agrawal secured a bronze medal in the kata 13 years category, showcasing the depth of talent fostered at the academy. Shreshtha S Reddy, another talented martial artist from the academy, won bronze in the kumite 12 years category, contributing to the overall success of the academy’s students. Expressing their gratitude, the students extend special thanks to Leena Daniel, Principal of Baldwin Boys’ High School, Arun Machiah, President of AKSA, and Bhargav Reddy, General Secretary, for their unwavering support and encouragement.
