Hospete: In connection with the completion of naming the State as ‘Karnataka’, the state government is holding ‘Karnataka Sambrama-50’ and it must be made a successful event, said Housing, Minorities Welfare, and Vijayanagar District-in-charge Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan.
He along with Kannada and Culture Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi visited the Hampi temple premises and inspected the place as the event would be held on November 2, and later chaired a meeting in the deputy commissioner’s office where he issued directions to celebrate it in a meaningful manner. Chief Minister would be participating in this year-long celebrations and this would be his first visit to the newly carved out district as the CM. On behalf of the district, the CM would be felicitated. “It is very happy to note that they are witnessing an important milestone in the history of Karnataka. We must feel proud about it. This is our program and the function of every Kannadiga. It must be celebrated in a festive atmosphere”.
Kannada and Culture Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi wanted the district administration to bring back the glory of the Karnataka of 1973 when the event would be held in front of a big dais to be put up in front of Virupaksha Temple in Hampi.
