Bengaluru: The stage is now set for a new fight between DCM DK Shivakumar and former CM HD Kumaraswamy. A question has been raised about whether DKS is planning to separate his assembly constituency Kanakapura from Ramanagara and add it to Bengaluru.
DCM DK Shivakumar has talked about separating Kanakapura from Ramanagara district and adding it to Bangalore. Kumaraswamy has been dragged into the middle by saying that someone added Kanakapura to Ramanagara for the sake of the name.
For so long, there was a fight between Kumaraswamy and DK Shivakumar on the issue of Ramanagara district politics. There was also a stiff competition for the leadership of the vokkaliga community at the state level. Now DK’s attempt to exclude Kanakapura from Ramanagara district has led to another round of tussle between the two.
It is said that if Kanakapura is taken out of Ramanagara district and included in Bengaluru, it will lead to political conflict.
Ramanagara district means that the HDK name comes first. Thus, the discussion has started whether DK has planned to make Kanakapura a hub for the additional growth of Bangalore beyond the district center.
Prioritizing Kanakapura as Tier 2 city apart from Bangalore. Emphasis on regional development by promoting industrial establishments in Kanakapura.
Along with the establishment of an educational hub, development work will be carried out on account of irrigation facilities. Analysis has been heard that DKS is planning to add Kanakapura to Bangalore with the aim of creating an environment for business investment.
