Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said, “It is commendable that Kumaraswamy has accepted and said that he will pay the fine for electricity theft whether it is carelessness or theft.”
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, DCM DK Shivakumar answered the media’s questions about “Kumaraswamy’s illegal connection of electricity to the house” and the allegations made on the ‘X’ account of the Congress party near Vidhana Souda and KPCC office on Queen’s Road.
“The issue of theft of electricity from Kumaraswamy’s house was noticed by the media. His neighbors took a video of the illegal electricity connection and gave it to the media. After that, our party’s social media unit did what it was supposed to do. As many things are being written on their party’s social media, our party did what it was supposed to do. Can we just sit and watch whatever they do?” He retorted.
When he was asked Kumaraswamy doing this kind of work was not wrong, he said, “Electricity should not be stolen. Is it not wrong if people like us who are in a responsible position steal like this? Let’s see what action the concerned department will take. The government will not interfere in this matter, we don’t need it and we don’t have time. BESCOM will take action.”
He said congratulations for accepting the truth to Kumaraswamy, happy for upholding the truth as said Satyameva Jayate.
Kumaraswamy has degraded Deve Gowda’s caste during his last days. Kumaraswamy has destroyed the values that Deve Gowda had maintained throughout his life. “When I see, what Kumaraswamy has done to the elderly Deve Gowda, I am speechless, I feel sorry for him. I feel very sorry. Good luck to Kumaraswamy, who has joined hands with the NDA government,” he said.
To Kumaraswamy’s allegation that the guarantee schemes of the Congress government have not reached the people, and he is ready to discuss this issue, Shivakumar said, “Kumaraswamy is jealous, there is no cure for this jealousy. He is sad that he did not get this opportunity.”
“So far women of the state have traveled free on bus trips worth Rs 100 crore under the Shakti Yojana. Gruhalakshmi money reaches the accounts of more than 1 crore women every month. “Let them ask the people of Ramanagara, Magadi, Kanakapura, Channapatna, including their party workers for information about whether the guarantee schemes have failed, or their own money is going,” he challenged.
When asked about Kumaraswamy’s statement that he has waived the loans during his tenure, let the present government now waive the loans, DCM Shivakumar said, “We will accept his challenge with great joy and respect. After December 4th, let him take all his files, calculations, guarantees, challenges and come to the assembly session. His promise, the spoken words, Pancharatnas and whatever they have said before, let them come to the Assembly. Let’s listen to their words there. The people of Karnataka have already responded to their challenge, Pancharatnas in the elections. Similarly, they have also answered our guarantees,” he said.
