Indian institutes and state today is in urgent need of a syllabus which teach it’s upcoming generation on family and human bonds. Relationships today have least importance among many. People are changing partners in a way they change their clothes, so frequent and so quick. In the era of instant noodles, human bonds too have taken same place and position. The topics such as double dating have become so common a thing in comparison to an age old era of letter writing to the beloved who live in the very next city.
In the evolving world, when man slowly starts losing the essence of shyness within and begin adopting choices based on the society around, relationships too starts getting effected. There existed a time, when human beings wrote letter to each other and kept their bonds strong. Parents, siblings or even partners had only letter writing as a choice in giving updates on their life. Neither was the communication facility potential enough nor was technology like today. But the respect, love, understanding, support and the way they accepted other persons flaws in making a relation beautiful was immense.
Even today we have examples of the family which is strong, the partners who are celebrating fifty plus years of togetherness. But more choices today, have made human quick to change their priorities. In relationships, in stead of accepting one’s flaws people have begun changing individual over individual in search of a perfect partner. For people, specially for the youth of the era, technology has made the communication easier and flexible. Modern parents too have become understanding and accepting towards the choices of their children. But the young generation have failed in understanding human emotion. People go to shopping malls and cities just to have a sight on their opposite gender and pass on the time. Indian society that once valued and treasured the institute of marriage was beautiful in giving every partner their whole and soul in making the journey of their life reach a beautiful destination. But today, people enter marriage as a matter of trend and leave a partner stating, it didn’t work out.
Text books today should teach the significance and importance of all these things. Being in India and being from the generation of the youth, I indeed feel it is a need of the hour. Let our history carry the stories of great Indian families which has a story of sacrifice and love. Let society texts be the teachers for taking care of offsprings and parents who are growing old. Let the Government stop fighting on whom to include and exclude from the history of great kings and emperors and focus on retaining and protecting our generation from running away from the bond and instead learn to strengthening the same.
