Welcome back everyone. So it’s time to read what happened next
As my last semester of engineering drew to a close, I found myself with only one job offer and was still searching for another. With just one week left due to report for work in Trivandrum, I was scouting online job portals for more opportunities. That’s when I received a call for an interview in Bengaluru the very next day. After three rounds of interviews on the first day, I thought I was done. But I was asked to come back the next day for a fourth round, which meant I had to quickly find appropriate clothing for the interview. After a total of seven rounds, I finally got the job that made me happy.
However, I soon realised that my assumptions were wrong. I had believed that once I got the job, all my problems would be solved. But that was far from the truth. As the start date for my new job approached, I had to find a place to stay. This was the first time I had to live away from my family, and the feeling was daunting at first. Moving out of my comfort zone, to a new place, created restlessness in me, but at the same time, there was also excitement at the prospect of living alone and enjoying my newfound freedom.
After much searching, we found a PG (paying guest) accommodation for me, and I was ready to start my first day as an IT employee. Stay tuned for future parts to learn more about the life of a techie.
