Bengaluru: National Award winning Director Mansore’s movie ‘19.20.21’ has been selected at the film festival for the 12th edition of the Indo-German Film Week. This film festival will be held from May 29 to June 07 at the historic Babylon Theatre in Berlin, Germany. The film ‘19.20.21’ will be screened in this film festival.
This is a movie based on a real incident, the pain experienced by a community on the coast for two decades and the struggle against that pain is the inspiration for making this movie. The director has studied this incident for the last nine years and has made an informational art movie. The team decided to make a movie after the court judgement regarding the incident was made in 2021, and made a script based on the information related to this incident. The story of a community boy’s struggle is the life of this movie.
Theatre artiste Shringa B. V. played the lead role in the film and has a talented cast including Balaji Manohar, Sampath, M. D. Pallavi, Mahadev Hadapat, and Ugram Sandeep. The film was shot in many places including Yallapura, Dharawad, Mangaluru, and Kundapura.
