Bengaluru: Former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda has decided to participate in the inauguration programme of the New Parliament House to be inaugurated on May 28. He has said that he does not care about the decision of the opposition to boycott the programme.
On May 25, the JDS meeting heard the opinion of the District President and all the MLAs of the party. At this time, MLAs and leaders have advised him to go to the programme.
In the backdrop of everyone’s suggestion, he has decided to attend the inauguration of the new Parliament House. Deve Gowda will be joined by sitting Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna.
The new Parliament House will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 28 of this month. 19 opposition parties have boycotted the event, protesting Modi inaugurating the same.
