Mangaluru: BJP’s State President Nalin Kumar Kateel, has issued a challenge to Chittapur MLA Priyank Kharge, regarding the potential ban of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Kateel believes that if the RSS were to be banned, the Congress party would face severe consequences.
During a press conference held on May 26, Kateel emphasised that the RSS has played a significant role in promoting patriotic sentiment in our nation. He also pointed out that the Prime Minister himself is associated with the RSS as a dedicated member, along with various Union Ministers who proudly identify as RSS volunteers.
Reflecting on historical events, Kateel highlighted how leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi attempted to ban the RSS in the past but faced significant backlash. He mentioned that whenever the Congress party has been in power, there has been consistent talk of banning pro-Hindu organisations.
In a daring statement, Kateel challenged Siddaramaiah and Priyank Kharge to take action against those who raised slogans in support of Pakistan, rather than focusing on the RSS. He claimed that these pro-Pakistan slogans were chanted at events allegedly organised by the Congress party for victory celebrations and meetings.
