It is nearly impossible to have not heard about Bhagavad Gita being an Indian. Bhagavad Gita is a Hindu scripture which comprises 700 verses spoken by Lord Krishna. The verses convey various messages as to how one should lead their life righteously always. This scripture is a conversation between Arjuna, the Pandava prince and Shri Krishna, while they were standing in the battle field of Kruskshetra. Arjuna was in a dilemma whether to wage a war against his close kin or not. And the Divine God showed him the right path.
One such quote being: “It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody’s life with perfection”.
This quote makes a lot of sense, especially in the superficial world that we are a part of now. Today we observe that everyone wants to be like someone else. They want to follow people blindly just because they see happy pictures or videos of them on social media. We all think that the grass is greener on the other side, but the truth is simple, if we water our own grass, it will be as green as it should be.
The world is in a constant race to be better than someone else, instead of focusing on oneself, our focus is always on someone else. We dream to live someone’s life, but we have never been in their shoes. Strange, it is to want to be someone else, while you have yourself, and that too a blessed self.
One tends to forget the hardships everyone faces in life, every home has seen loss of someone dear, every human has hit a point in life, where they feel life is pointless. The best way to live life is to embrace the imperfections, and do your deeds with love and passion. God helps those, that help themselves.
Live your life, and stop dreaming about another’s life.
