Bengaluru: In a startling revelation, former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy has levelled serious allegations against the current state Government, accusing them of engaging in corrupt practices related to Government appointments. Kumaraswamy contends that a predetermined fixed rate has been established for various positions, indicating the existence of a pervasive transfer racket within the administration.
Expressing a touch of irony, Kumaraswamy highlighted the fact that the very same Congress leaders who had once criticised the BJP Government are now allegedly involved in determining rates for Government positions. The previous administration was humorously referred to as the ‘Pay CM,’ but according to Kumaraswamy, the current Government has taken this practice to new heights and called it a ‘percentage government.’
Calling for immediate action, Kumaraswamy urged the public to initiate a street campaign against those responsible for perpetuating the concept of the ‘Pay CM.’ His plea includes pasting posters on walls to draw attention to the prevalent issue. The Former Chief Minister expressed deep concern over reports suggesting that even government officials themselves are discussing fixed rates.
Challenging the Government’s credibility, Kumaraswamy issued a strong dare, calling on them to prove their integrity and dispel the notion of percentage-based corruption. He emphasised that previous administrations faced corruption allegations of 40% and urged the current Government to demonstrate that these allegations are baseless, signalling their departure from corrupt practices.
These accusations by Kumaraswamy have sent shockwaves through the political landscape, reigniting the ongoing debate on corruption. The state Government now finds itself facing a critical test put forth by Kumaraswamy regarding the Congress’ own 40% commission campaign against the BJP.
