Bengaluru: Former Minister Sriramulu has warned the Congress Government that we will give life but if reservation is touched, it will not be tolerated, and there will be agitation like breaking into the houses of MLAs.
Speaking to mediapersons in city on June 8 he said that if reservation is touched, people will come to the streets. No matter what the situation is, we will give life if needed. But he said that he will not tolerate those who touch or remove reservation provided to exploited communities.
He said caste census is very old. Siddaramaiah did not agree to accept it when he was Chief Minister. Now he himself is the CM, and also made someone the Chairman for Caste Census Committee. He was not ready to accept the report itself. If we talk about caste census today, where will it stop? He criticised Siddaramaiah that he speaks something when in power and other things when not in power.
Congress is finding it difficult to implement guarantee schemes. Government coffers are running low. They cheated the poor who believed that they would get free electricity. People are observing all this. Conditions have been put in guarantees. There is no sign of their guarantees coming into effect. He said that in the coming days people will teach them a lesson. He said people will not be idle in the coming days. People take to the streets and claim their rights. People also break into the houses of Congress MLAs, he said. He warned that people will teach the Congress people a lesson.
Meanwhile preparations are being made to implement guaranteed schemes announced by the Congress party before elections. The Griha Jyoti Yojana will be launched on August 1 and Griha Lakshmi Yojana on August 17 to 18. Application will be made through Bangalore One, Karnataka One, Gram One centres and at home through computer or mobile app.
The Chief Minister’s official Twitter account posted a series of tweets about this. CM Siddaramaiah was quoted as saying in the tweet that “among the guarantee schemes announced by the state government, preparations are being made to launch Griha Jyoti Yojana on August 1 and Griha Lakshmi Yojana on August 17-18.”
