Bengaluru: The BJP legal helpline number is launched by BJP Karnataka’s Legal Cell, which will aid BJP karyakartas in tackling any legal onslaught against them. BJP Helpline (18003091907) will now help BJP workers to deal with harassment inside and outside the police station including false cases, addition to rowdy-sheet, harassment against BJP workers following the oppressive rule created by the new Congress Government, they alleged.
BJP Yuva Morcha National President Tejaswi Surya inaugurated the helpline at BJP office Jagannath Bhawan in Malleshwaram.
Speaking at the launch, he said that in the coming days in Karnataka, there are predictions of politics of hatred against our workers and those who work on our behalf. In this backdrop, a team of 100 lawyers has formed a helpline. He said that we have prepared to organise a fight against the Government’s atrocities inside and outside the House.
A team of legal professionals and lawyers has been formed in all the districts of the state and in all the places where the High Court bench is located. He said that more than hundred advocates of the state will collaborate to manage this helpline.
Yogendra Hodaghatta, Convener of the Law Commission, said that after coming to power, the Congress in the state has started the work of legally tying up our workers. Congress workers including the Minister are threatening our workers. He said that the helpline is being started with a view to instill confidence in our workers.

During the previous period of the Congress Government, they had filed a false case even though they acted as allowed to the political party in the Constitution. Even on the occasion of Ganapati festival, Ugadi, Ramanavami, Hanuma Jayanti, there was a situation where one had to go to the court and get permission to hold rally, event and procession. They are booked and arrested for posting on Facebook criticising the Chief Minister’s performance. Tejaswi Surya alleged that they were arrested while sharing WhatsApp, cartoons and memes too.
