Lucknow: Janata Dal (S) youth leader Nikhil Kumaraswamy on June 15 met former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and leader of Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav at his residence in Lucknow. Akhilesh Yadav welcomed Nikhil Kumaraswamy at his residence and had a long conversation.
Sharing information about this, Nikhil Kumaraswamy said that during this meeting, which was conducted with great trust and brotherly affection, important consultations were held regarding future political developments including the forth coming Lok Sabha elections.
Akhilesh Yadav, especially reminisced about the relationship between Deve Gowda’s families enquired about health of Former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda and Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy. Akhilesh discussed a lot of things about the Karnataka Assembly elections and national level political developments.
He said that he shared several developments of Uttar Pradesh politics. Also, Akhilesh has formulated his own special agenda to face the next Lok Sabha elections and has started the preparations for the elections in full swing, said Nikhil.
Besides, Nikhil explained that he thoroughly discussed with me the political equations going on in Karnataka regarding the Lok Sabha elections. Akhilesh Yadav, who studied in Mysuru, recalled those days, added Nikhil.
He heartily expressed his great respect and admiration for the Kannadigas of Karnataka, said Nikhil and added that “Icongratulated him for his trust and love.”
Nikhil Kumaraswamy, who had contested from Ramanagara constituency in the 2023 Assembly elections, was defeated. Later, he resigned as the President of the State Youth Unit. The party needs to be rebuilt and a new, leadership should be given a chance, he said in his resignation letter.
Before this, Nikhil, who contested the Mandya Lok Sabha elections, lost against Sumalatha Ambarish in 2019. Now, the meeting with Akhilesh Yadav in the background of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections has created political curiosity.
