Bengaluru: What should MLAs look like in the House? What are the rules of the house? Legislative Assembly Speaker U. T. Khader said that a three-day special training camp will be held to provide information about everything including the question and answer session and the Budget process.
Speaker U. T. Khader, who held a press conference at Vidhana Soudha on June 21, informed that a three-day special training camp was organised for the newly elected MLAs at Dharmasthala Naturopathy Clinic in Nelamangala. There are 70 newly elected MLAs. There are a large number of young MLAs among them. Their active participation is essential, he said.
Health and intellectual training will be given to MLAs in the camp. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the camp on June 26 at 12 noon. Health camp will be conducted from 6.00 am to 9.00 am and training camp from 10.00 am, he said. He added that senior members of the House will be given information to the newly elected MLAs in the camp.

Not only them, Former Chief Minister Yediyurappa, Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar, and Former CM H. D. Kumaraswamy will hold an interaction programme with the new MLAs, he said. He said that this will give an opportunity to know the experience of seniors.
All ministers have been invited on the last day. In the training camp, information will be given about the participation of members in the House, rules of the House, question and answer period, Budget presentation process, legislation making, conduct of members. Senior politicians like Krishna Byre Gowda, H. K. Patil, B. L. Shankar, Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri, T. B. Jayachandra, Suresh Kumar, and Veerappa Moily will provide training.
Not only that, the deacon of Dharmasthala Veerendra Heggade was a motivational speaker. Mohammad Kunhi, Dr. Gururaj Karjagi, Asha Didi of Brahma Kumaris and Ravi Shankar Guruji of Art of Living will give motivational speeches too.
On the same occasion, he said that even after the end of the session, the camp will be conducted for the senior members if necessary.
