Bengaluru: Karnataka Government’s ambitious project Gruha Jyoti has received a huge response across the state and has reached a new milestone within a week of its launch. On the first two days of Gruha Jyoti Yojana registration, the process was delayed due to server problem. Queues were common at many registration centres. But after that a new link was released. After a lot of trouble, the Government reached the target of the registration scheme. Now a new milestone has been reached with more than 50 lakh registrations in a single week.
Official sources said that 51,17,693 customers had registered till 6.00 pm on June 25 and the Gruha Jyoti Yojana had received a good response across the state. As the registration procedure has been made very easy, the customers are very enthusiastic and the number of registrations in lakhs is increasing day by day.
Registration for Gruha Jyoti Yojana is completely free through official portal https://sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in at any electricity office, Nadakacheri and computer, laptop, mobile phone. Except the above mentioned website, customers should not use any private/fake website for registration.
Apart from this, registration can be done at Bangalore One, Gram One, Karnataka One and Gram Panchayat offices by paying only the prescribed service fee. If anyone demands additional money, the customer can immediately call the 24×7 helpline 1912. The release also stated that appropriate action will be taken against such centres.
The registration process has been speeded up after the e-Governance Department issued a separate registration link to 2,000 electricity offices in the state.
