Koppal: Former Minister Janardhan Reddy, who made a comeback to politics through a new party this time, has been elected as MLA from Gangavathi Assembly constituency. Janardhana Reddy, who heads the KRPP party (Kalyana Rajya Pragathi Paksha), has come forward to organise the party in Koppal District.
In the previous elections, he had managed to woo many local leaders of national parties such as the Congress and the BJP. Janardhana Reddy, who is now eyeing the Gangavathi Municipal Corporation, had initiated operation KRPP. However, the BJP has managed to bring back its leaders through ‘Ghar Wapsi’.
He visited the house of Gangavathi City Municipal Corporation Member and welcomed him into the party. But by evening, the members who took a U-turn are saying that we have not joined KRPP. MLA Janardhan Reddy is embarrassed as the CMC members have now taken a U-turn.

Janardhana Reddy, who contested from Gangavathi Assembly Constituency, got 66,213 votes and was elected as MLA. Iqbal Ansari of the Congress, Paranna Munavalli of the BJP and H. R. Channakeshav of the JD (S) too had contested.
