Bengaluru: A constable who went to check a car that broke down a car on the highway near Chikkajala on Kempegowda International Airport was killed in a tragic accident. On July 2, Devanahalli Inspector Dharmegowda, who was on night rounds, and Constable Suresh, who was driving the police jeep, went to check the broken down car on the side of the highway. At that time, another car came and collided with him. Constable Suresh, who had gone to check the broken down car in the incident, died on the spot.
An Innova car had a break down on the highway near Chikkajala. Inspector and constable Suresh of Devanahalli Police Station who was on a night patrol went to the parked car to inquire. Meanwhile, Inspector Dharma Gowda had gone aside to talk on the phone. At this time, a car came and collided with the Innova car which was parked.
There were three young men and three young women in the car, who had partied all night and were on their way to Nandi Hills in the early morning when the accident took place. Constable Suresh, who had gone to question the driver of the car that had break down, died and the driver of the car had his arm and leg broken. It is known that even young men and women who were intoxicated have sustained serious injuries. Luckily, the Inspector escaped from the mishap.
