Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister and JD (S) Leader H. D. Kumaraswamy made serious allegations of corruption against the Congress Government by saying the government was collecting a new tax called ‘YST’.
When mediapersons quizzed him over what the new tax meant, the JDS leader simply said that “It is the new tax system that the people are all talking about it openly,” he said with a veiled reference to Yatindhra Siddaramaih (YST).
He alleged that the Government is indulging in transfer business as there are midnight meetings with officials to have the transfer to the posts they wanted. “Everyone knows who is behind that business and it is your duty to find out why midnight meetings are being held with Government officials,” he said alleging cash-on-transfer by the Government.
The State Legislature session began on July 3 and Former Chief Minister’s comments are sure to bring embarrassment to the Government.
