Bengaluru Rural: “Congress leaders are frustrated and thus have taken away those who failed to get the BJP ticket. They have taken away a flower from the pot leaving behind a sapling. BJP is a tree with deep roots and none can shake it,” said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking at a roadshow in Doddaballapura in favor of the BJP candidate, Dheeraj on April 23, he said that the weavers faced problems during the Congress regime. The previous CM, B. S. Yediyurappa launched the ‘Nekar Sanman’ scheme and started giving financial assistance of Rs. 2,000 per weaver and subsequently, it was hiked to Rs. 5,000. The agriculture loan is being given at zero percent interest up to Rs. 5 Lakh. The Weavers’ Development Corporation had been started to give health and education. Besides, the Development Corporations have been made for the Tigala community (flower/vegetable vendors), Ganiga, Vokkaliga, Veerashaiva, and Maratha communities with the intention of uplifting the community people, he said.
Bommai said it has been decided to set up a satellite Town in Doddaballapura which will provide education and employment. All facilities that are available in Bengaluru City will be made available in Doddaballapura. The sitting MLA has been for the last ten years and this time he must be sent home to provide an opportunity for Dheeraj for the development of Doddaballapura. The BJP will form the next Government. There has been demand for the development of tanks and it will be decided in the first Cabinet of the next Government,” he said.
