The Ukrainian leadership includes a President who has shot videos of him dancing in his birthday suit. But that’s just a trivial matter when it comes to what the leadership got its hands into.
The official Twitter handle of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence had shared something on Twitter that was highly offensive to Indians. The Ministry tweeted an awkwardly edited picture of Maa Kali, the ferocious feminine deity who stopped at nothing to quench her unrelenting thirst for blood.
A Russian Black Sea Fleet fuel depot explosion in Crimea created a huge dark cloud. A caricature of Maa Kali was then morphed into the picture of the explosion.
In the picture tweeted by Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, Maa Kali was made to resemble Marilyn Monroe’s famous pose.
The Tweet was a comparison of the real image of the fuel depot explosion with the morphed image side by side with a caption saying, “Work of art”.
The Tweet was then deleted by the ministry when the Tweet of Ukraine was met with an unholy rain of criticisms.
A Twitter handle by the name ‘The Random Indian’ raised a Twitter army to raise hell with their tweets criticising Ukraine’s move.

Even though the Tweet was deleted by the ministry, the issue is still being spoken about on social media.
The Business Ukraine Magazine had also shared the morphed image of Maa Kali on their handle. It was online for a day since they posted it but it was deleted by the time this article was written.
This “work of art” was created by an artist known for his perverted and gory form of art. Maksym Palenko, the artist had put his initials on the bottom right of the image. Maksym initially did not delete the art depicting Maa Kaali, so social media made him.
The Defence Ministry of Ukraine had actually posted only one of Maksym’s “art” piece. Soon people discovered that Maksym had made another more vulgar depiction of Maa Kali. However, he deleted both the pictures from his Instagram handle. Now, his Twitter handle has also been suspended for violation of Twitter policies.
Twitterati eventually took over the scenario to morph President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s older picture onto the “work of art”. The picture that was morphed was a screenshot from an old video where Zelenskyy was dancing around in a warehouse in nothing but his birthday suit.
The lower half of Zelenskyy in this morphed picture resembles him in one of his queer dances wearing skin-fit pants with high heels from a 2014 video.
So, while the offensive pictures were sheepishly deleted by parties concerned without an apology, there has been total silence observed by everyone concerned. Not a word has been uttered about this incident from any of the Ukrainian Government officials and this fact is still bothering many on social media.
