From the past few years , India has been witnessing major downfall in employment opportunities. India has the world’s largest population rate with highest number of educated youth but little to no job opportunities.
India has been witnessing major downfall in Indian economy system. The implementation of few projects absolutely with no proper planning, exchange of rupees and rise of corporative business groups have eventually led to the breakdown of economy.
The more educated the person is, the more likely it is, they will remain jobless. And it is found that, they are unwilling to take up a job if the jobs are under paying or if it’s an informal job .On the other hand, middle class people who have no option left to choose between the jobs tend to do all kinds of work that comes on their way. And the poor, who have little access to education, are obliged to take up whatever work comes their way.
Most of the employed Indians do not have social security benefits. Three quarters of India’s workforce are self employed and with no social security benefits. Only two percent of employed people have access over schemes like healthcare, and maternity benefits, etc.
India has an upper hand in the field of software and technology. Yet India couldn’t give more opportunities to youngsters who are seeking employment.
Most of the youth choose engineering as a field, to make a future but most of the engineering degree holders are now selling tea. If we question any of the engineering degree holder, why they choose to sell tea, their answer will leave us in surprise. It’s so heartbreaking to witness most of the youth moving to different countries to have secure jobs.
What’s the reason behind scarcity of employment in India hat to an extent, even the degree holders have to sell tea. Citizens have forgotten their rights as labour, right to ask and many other fundamentals rights.
Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and other northern states of India have the highest youth population. Glimpses were circulated across social media platforms on how the youth are applying for vacancy of a clerk’s position. Most of the coolie workers are from Bihar who migrate for employment. The workers found are under the age of 18-28 years.
Promising employment opportunities during election has only become a part of vote bank politics. The ‘Make in India’ 2014 project which offers more than 2 lakh job opportunities has not seen any progress until this date. And it encourages people to have self-employment as people have already seen that, these kind of schemes do not have any impact nor brings any growth in the employment sector.
In India, the average salary is Rs. 375/- but most of them are not even paid that much. The low level salary is eventually leading to increase in the number of burglary, unlawful behaviour and many others. Our politicians have plans but there’s no plan for implementation!
The plan without the implementation is like water getting filled in a leaking bucket, which eventually will not be full. Same goes with employment opportunities, only fake promises and offers will not help India to grow or progress.
Everyone should consider this unemployment issue very seriously and should work to have proper solution. And thus make sure to build better environment for upcoming generations.
