Bengaluru: In recent days, the number of cases related to family conflicts is increasing, there are many cases of mental harassment, alcohol consumption, separation of husband and wife without reconciliation.
About 1469 cases have been registered in the redressal centre since last year (April 2022- March 2023) related to family feud cases. Out of this, 45 cases of pre-marital problems, live-in relationship cases, 594 family discord, 436 irreconcilable separation cases, 180 extra-marital affairs, 69 dowry harassment, 109 drug and mental abuse cases and 28 other cases were registered at the “Parihar” centre, the stastic report stated.
Most of the cases recorded in the “Parihar” are accusing of not understanding each other, beating wives and children after drinking alcohol, not trusting each other, and there are many cases of selfishness. In such cases, various types of therapies are performed by Vanita Sahaya Vani to bring harmony between both of them and to reduce ego. However, sometimes efforts fail. In some other cases conditions are imposed on husband and wife. When the wife/husband does not agree to these conditions, they cannot be married. There are many cases like this.
Amidst all this, the Parihar – Vanita Helpline has succeeded in uniting most of the couples.
