Bengaluru: The National Service Scheme (NSS) team of CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) is proud to announce the successful organisation of a Blood Donation Camp in association with the esteemed Sushrutha Voluntary Blood Centre. The event, held on May 17 witnessed an overwhelming response from students, faculty, and staff members who came forward to contribute to this noble cause.
Under the leadership and guidance of Prof. Muralidhara, Head of the NSS team, the blood donation camp aimed to address the critical shortage of blood supply in the region. The event served as a platform for individuals to extend their support to the community and make a positive impact on countless lives. Though the semester examinations were underway, the camp achieved significant participation. The camp saw a turnout of 130 students along with teaching and non-teaching staff. An impressive total of 115 units of blood was donated in a single day.
Dr. Sanjay Jain, Principal CMRIT, expressed his gratitude to all the donors, volunteers, and supporters who made the event a resounding success. He said, “we are immensely proud of the overwhelming response received during the blood donation camp. The participation and generosity demonstrated by the CMR Institute of Technology community are truly commendable. Through this collective effort, we have taken a step forward in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.”
