Bengaluru: Jagadish Shettar and Siddaramaiah’s meeting on May 19 has fuelled speculations that Shettar may be inducted into the Cabinet.
It can be recalled here that Shettar rebelled against BJP after he was denied ticket and contested on Congress ticket from Hubballi-Dharwad Central constituency, only to lose. After Shettar’s meeting, rumours are rife that Shettar will be inducted into new Cabinet.
However, Shettar informed mediapersons that he met Siddaramaiah to congratulate him as he is all set to become the next Chief Minister. “I have not made any demands,” he asecertained.
Now, if Shettar joins the government, he may have to be elected as an MLA again or MLC but the glitch is that there is no by-election in Karnataka, soon. Only way out is that he may have to be nominated as MLC.
