Mangaluru: The two-day ‘SPL23 Karavali Koyal Champions’, jointly organised by Arunya Foundation and Das Kudla Events, was formally inaugurated in the presence of dignitaries, contestants and the audience on May 31.
Uday Guruji of Jnanodaya inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. “Music is a soulful art which leaves everyone please. But only few are endowed with that art. However, everyone has the art of enjoying a good music.”
Suresh Ballal, Former Chairman of the Mangalore Urban Development Authority, said, “Due to Das Kudla Events and Arunya Foundation, the stage for music has been restored post-COVID era and all artistes should make the most of such a golden opportunity.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dodmane Appu Yuva Sena Founder President K. R. Janardan Babu hoped that such programmes continue and inspire others as well.
Padma Venoor, Coordinator of Jeevasarthakathe project, explained the registration process for organ and eye donation.
Judges, well-known playback singer Dr. Jayashree Aravind and Shashidhar Kote, Sadashivdas Pandeshwar of Das Kudla Events, and Vikram K., Managing Trustee, Arunya Foundation were on the dais. Chief Coordinator Rameshchandra rendered prayer. Srinivas Pejathaya, Secretary of the Trust and Managing Director of Verito Media Privateimited welcomed the gathering. RJ Prasanna and RJ Abhishek compered the programme.
The league rounds will be held on the first day, with the semi-finals and finals on June 1 morning and evening, respectively. A ‘Panchabhasha Rasamanjari’ will be held from 4.00 pm onwards, while various awards will be presented to 46 eminent personalities with prize distribution ceremony to be held on the same platform. During the programme, there will be a registration camp for organ and eye donation and those interested can register on the occasion.
