Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar has again got a big relief in the disproportionate assets case. The interim injunction granted by the High Court to the CBI investigation regarding the case has again been extended.
The case file has gone to the court of Chief Justice. Earlier, the trial was held in the Justice Natarajan’s bench. Now the case has been transferred to Justice M. Nagaprasanna Bench. Therefore, the CJ will decide in which bench the trial should continue. The case file was sent to the registrar by Justice Nagaprasanna. The court issued an order continuing the interim injunction until further hearing.
The interim stay granted to the CBI probe has now been extended. The hearing will be held in the bench of Justice M. Nagaprasanna. The interim injunction has been extended by a single-judge bench of the High Court.
The CBI had appealed that the stay should be lifted and investigation should be allowed. Shivakumar had been restrained by the court for the CBI investigation. The application will be heard again after the court holidays.
