Mangaluru: Just days after Chief Minister S. Siddaramiah so gallantly announced that his Government will not tolerate any moral policing acts a daylight incident of moral policing has taken place at Someshwara Beach in Ullal Police Station limits. This happens to have taken place in the constituency of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, U. T. Khader, which is another highlight of the incident.
An incident took place at Someshwar Beach on the outskirts of Mangaluru, where moral police assaulted the youth who had come to Mangaluru beach with their female friends in Dakshina Kannada district. Three Kerala-based students were assaulted, and a team assaulted three Kerala-based female students and three male students belonging to a private educational institution in the city.
A group of three youth who had come to the beach with the Hindu students were chasing them as they belonged to a different community. After that, the students were assaulted by a group while they were vacationing on the beach, and the victims were youth from Kannur in Kerala and young women from Kasaragod.
Three students injured in the incident, Zafar Sharif, Mujeeb, and Ashique. Three have been admitted to a private hospital in Deralakatte. It is said that the three young women who were with the youth have returned to the town. Ullal Police are investigating.
