Bengaluru: As soon as the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government came to power, the BJP has come forward to protect the activists of Hindu organisations from filing lawsuits. A team of 50 lawyers has been formed in three parts of the state for this. A legal committee meeting was held at the State BJP office on June 3. 50 lawyers from different parts of the state participated in the meeting.
In the meeting, the lawyers expressed displeasure that it has come to our notice that the leaders of the Congress party are threatening and harassing the workers.
Earlier, during Siddaramaiah’s tenure, cases were registered against many Hindu workers. Apart from BJP workers, a list of rowdy-sheeters was opened against those sharing posts on pro-Hindu and pro-BJP social networks. It was expressed in the meeting that the Congress party should be prepared to deal with the violation of the law.
MP Tejasvi Surya informed about the meeting, and that the helpline will be available for the use of our workers. This helpline will work 24 hours. Workers can call from any part of the state. There will be a team of lawyers in three parts of Karnataka – Bengaluru, Dharawad and Kalaburagi. It has come to our notice that cases are being filed against BJP workers through threats and false accusations. During Siddaramaiah’s first term, similar politics of hate was done. It has come to our notice that when Hindu activists were killed, the case was not conducted properly. We will announce a helpline number in the state to deal with the legal atrocities of the Congress Government. Even to put up a Ganapati pendal, the devotees have to beg and wait for permission, he said and added that there will be a team of lawyers in Bengaluru, Dharawad and Kalaburagi to file a PIL and writ in the court so that this situation does not happen again.
