Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot’s next political move has left everyone curious. There has been a lot of debate in Rajasthan politics whether he will remain in the Congress or join hands with the BJP or start a new party alone.
The infight between Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot has been going on for the last three to four years. Sachin Pilot is said to be not satisfied even after Mallikarjun Kharge’s negotiations.
Sachin Pilot had given a 15-day deadline before his own party’s Government with three demands. Gehlot is said to be unable to fulfill these three demands in the current scenario.
Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot had held a meeting with Congress Leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and K. C. Venugopal in Delhi on May 29. Sachin Pilot’s supporters have been saying that he will either announce a new party or announce his political decision on June 11, the death anniversary of Sachin Pilot’s father Rajesh Pilot. But with the Rajasthan elections still around the corner, it will be interesting to see whether Sachin Pilot will announce his decision so soon or play a waiting game.
Sachin Pilot has chosen a different path despite all the efforts of the Congress’ national leaders. He had decided a long time ago that he would not be in the Congress anymore. It may be recalled that Pilot had made the announcement at the general body meeting in Jaipur on May 15. But the Congress is saying that Pilot will remain in the Congress.
