Hello everyone! It’s great to be back and share the next part of my journey with you. After completing our six-month-long training, my friends and batchmates started working on projects, while I remained in the training programme. Questions arose about the length of our training, and some even questioned the reputation of the company. Doubts began to creep into my mind, and I started to question my decision of joining this organisation. People around me suggested that I had made a mistake by leaving a well-established industry to join a relatively unknown company. However, I firmly believed that good things take time. Overnight success is rare, and patience and perseverance are key virtues. I reminded myself that rushing into things often leads to undesirable outcomes.
So, while my peers began their project assignments, I eagerly awaited my turn. Two of my friends got assigned to projects, and I continued to wait for my opportunity. Finally, the day arrived when I was assigned a project involving the development of software for feeding fishes in the ocean (a brief description).
I joined a team of four individuals, all of whom had more experience than I did. The initial days were daunting, and I felt overwhelmed by the task at hand. My project lead, who had high expectations, assigned me challenging work and expected me to complete it quickly. I found myself constantly stressed and working long hours. There were moments when I contemplated quitting.
However, I realised that giving up was not an option. I gathered my courage and decided to prove myself as an asset to the team. I embraced the challenges and pushed myself to learn and grow. With every obstacle I faced, I became more determined to succeed. I sought guidance from my experienced teammates and worked relentlessly to improve my skills.
Gradually, I began to adapt to the team dynamics and gained confidence in my abilities. As time went on, I started delivering quality work within the given timelines. My efforts didn’t go unnoticed, and my project lead acknowledged my progress. I proved myself as a valuable member of the team, surpassing expectations and overcoming the initial doubts and difficulties.
This experience taught me the importance of perseverance and self-belief. It reinforced the notion that success comes to those who are willing to face challenges head-on and stay committed to their goals. The journey wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.
Stay tuned for the next chapter of my adventure, where I’ll share more about the growth and opportunities that awaited me.
