Gardening is a tedious but pleasurable activity. It might seem like a task, digging, sowing, watering, pruning, etc. but the result is unexplainable. To see a blooming garden after all the efforts put is bliss in itself.
Gardening is not simple. You do not just bring plants, and then water them at your convenience and expect great results. It is like taking care a baby. Small steps at a time, ample care and love is a must for babies and plants. One can talk to plants, and it is said that they grow better.
In continuation with my tiny knowledge of gardening here are some of the tools required for the same. Gardening tools do not have to be expensive and fancy, a few handy tools are more than sufficient for a new gardener.
The tools may include;
• Gloves: A well fit, waterproof and breathable gloves are a must for a gardener. Invest in a good one.
• Spade or Trowel: It is a handy tool for digging holes and for turning of soil.
• Hand pruner: Used mostly to trim the smaller branches or shrubs, one can also us it to cut through the roots.
• Spray bottle: A bottle for misting of plants can be essential and of good use.
• Scissors: For deadheading of dried blooms, harvesting herbs a gardening scissors is very useful.
• Hose and watering can: Watering plants daily or regularly is beneficial for healthy growth of plants, a hose or watering can, does the job with ease.
These are tools that can be easily stored in a small bucket and do not take up space. Caring for your tools is equally necessary. The tools cannot be put away wet, dry them completely before putting then back for storing, if not they will rust and rot. Oiling some of the tools or wiping them with an oil rag is advised. Avoid storing the tools in the open.
Here, start your journey as a gardener with baby steps!
