I recently, got a chance to attend a workshop. I entered reluctant and disinterested but I completely changed within 10 minutes into the session. I did not find a minute where my mind was bored or tired. The workshop was on Mind Mapping.
“A man becomes, what he thinks about himself. Success and failure are in our own mind. The day we think we will fail, we definitely will,” all these are being said. So what is mind? There is actually no definition or an accurate answer. We cannot see our mind but we know it is there and it also functions.
Our mind is divided into conscious and subconscious. While our conscious mind can think, our subconscious mind can only obey. The subconscious mind says ‘yes’ to everything.
Have you ever wondered, that you actually are not going through any difficult situation in life, but you are sad or upset. This is the doing of our own mind. We imagine a lot of things which we aren’t actually experiencing. The feeling of being lost, unsuccessful, unhappy, and betrayal for no reason at all. This is the result of negative thinking.
It is rightly said, ‘happiness is a state of mind’. And it actually is. No one can make you happy if you yourself do not choose to be happy. I learnt that just working hard to achieve a dream is not enough, it is equally important to dream and also believe in that dream. Work towards your goal or dream in a way, like you have already achieved it. This positive affirmation is registered in the subconscious mind and we automatically walk towards our goal.
We may ask, ‘what is someone around us in negative, and feeding the same to us?’. The answer is quite simple, negate that thought and feed positive affirmations immediately to your mind.
Our life, behaviour, achievements everything is because of our mind set, if we have the right mind set towards everything in life, we can do wonders and spread positivity in the world.
Start your day with good thoughts and end your day with gratitude. There is no greater medicine than, a positive mind.
