Breaking the records, 14-year-old prodigy, Kairan Quazi, joins Elon Musk’s SpaceX as a software engineer, triumphing over their “technically challenging, fun” interview process. Quazi excitedly announced his new venture at SpaceX on LinkedIn.
Quazi stated that he will join the Starlink engineering team, which he described as the “coolest company on the planet.” The 14-year-old genius referred to SpaceX as one of those “rare” firms that did not regard his age as a “arbitrary and outdated” criterion for judging talent and maturity. SpaceX’s satellite internet service is known as Starlink.
“I will be joining the coolest company on the planet as a software engineer on the Starlink engineering team. One of the few companies that didn’t see my age as an arbitrary and out-of-date proxy for maturity and competence,” Quazi wrote on LinkedIn.
The young prodigy’s path so far: Quazi’s most recent LinkedIn bio claimed that he aspires to work on “challenging issues and encourages radical innovation in service of the common good.”
The 14-year-old child announced his accomplishment just before graduating from Santa Clara University’s School of Engineering. Quazi will make history once more as the college’s youngest graduate.
Quazi’s incredible journey began at the age of two, when he began speaking in entire sentences, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Quazi regarded the schooling in the third grade, when he was just nine years old, to be insufficiently rigorous for his advanced understanding. After a few months as an AI research co-op fellow at Intel Labsa, Quazi enrolled in the computer science and engineering school at the age of 11.
According to reports, the kid genius plans to relocate with his mother from Pleasanton, California, to Redmond, Washington, to begin working at SpaceX.
According to LinkedIn, the child prodigy worked for four months as a machine learning intern at cyber intelligence startup Blackbird.AI in 2022, where he assisted the team in creating a “anomaly detection statistical learning pipeline” to detect social media content tampering.
Quazi enjoys playing video games such as the Assassin’s Creed series, as well as reading science fiction stories by Philip K. Dick and the works of journalist Michael Lewis, who specialises in financial crises.
Earlier this year, the 14-year-old posted on Instagram about his preparations for a ‘major’ job interview. After a few weeks, he uploaded a screenshot of his job acceptance letter from SpaceX.
