Bengaluru: In the wake of BJP’s unexpected defeat in this year’s Assembly elections, party leaders have decided to visit the doorsteps of workers and voters.
Planning ahead for the victory in the next elections, the party has organised such an event where party leaders will go door-to-door for five days from June 25. The target is to reach 50 lakh households across the state in five days.
The event, titled ‘Mane Manege BJP’, will be attended by leaders from all walks of life, including sitting and former MLAs and MPs of the party. “We will go to the homes of party workers and instil new confidence in them and encourage them to work for the party’s future success,” said a party source
Senior party leaders have formed six-seven teams and are aiming to reach out to every household in the state in five days. In this regard, BJP leaders will hold a meeting of party workers in every district and then go door-to-door, said the source and added that people will be made aware of the achievements and work done by the BJP when it was in power in the Modi-led government and the state.
In each district, one to two thousand very important people will be identified and discussions will be held with them. We will look at what went wrong this time and also discuss what needs to be done in the next Lok Sabha elections,” added the source.
